Discover the Technics SH-9010E, also known as the Technics 10E, a sophisticated Japanese stereo parametric equalizer from the celebrated Technics component range of the late 1970s. The SH-9010E offers five fully adjustable parametric bands per channel, with independent control of boost/cut, centre frequency and bandwidth. This allows precise tonal adjustments, from broad musical shaping to more focused correction of troublesome frequency regions.

The reference centre frequencies are 60 Hz, 240 Hz, 1 kHz, 4 kHz and 16 kHz. Each band provides continuously variable adjustment of ±12 dB, centre-frequency variation of approximately ±1.6 octaves, and a bandwidth control with Q adjustable from 0.7 to 7.

Original manufacturer specifications include a frequency response of 10 Hz–20 kHz at +0/−0.2 dB, extending to 70 kHz at −3 dB, total harmonic distortion of 0.02% at rated output, and a signal-to-noise ratio of 90 dB, IHF-A weighted. Rated input sensitivity is 1 V into 47 kΩ, with nominal output of 1 V and maximum output of 5 V.

Rear connections comprise one stereo RCA input and two stereo RCA output pairs. The front-panel equalizer in/out switch allows convenient comparison between the processed and bypassed signal. The unit can be integrated into a compatible tape-monitor loop or connected between suitable separate preamplifier and power-amplifier components.
