DESCRIPTION

We are pleased to offer this magnificent Marantz Model 2100 AM/FM Stereophonic Tuner, an elegant and highly desirable component from the golden age of Japanese Hi-Fi.

Manufactured in Japan between approximately 1978 and 1980, the Model 2100 combines classic Marantz styling, outstanding build quality and excellent analogue radio reception. Its champagne-finished aluminium front panel and distinctive blue illuminated dial make it a superb matching component for a vintage Marantz system.

The FM section features a dual-gate MOSFET front end, linear-phase IF circuitry, ceramic filters and a phase-locked-loop stereo demodulator, providing excellent sensitivity, low distortion and very good stereo separation.

Its famous Gyro-Touch tuning wheel offers exceptionally smooth and precise station selection. Separate meters indicate signal strength and centre tuning, while the mono and muting functions allow optimum reception under different signal conditions.

Connections include 75-ohm and 300-ohm FM antenna terminals, AM antenna and ground terminals, stereo RCA audio outputs and a dedicated FM Quadradial output for use with a compatible external four-channel decoder.

This particular unit is in perfect technical and cosmetic condition. The aluminium front panel, lettering, dial, meters, controls and metal cabinet are exceptionally well preserved. The photographs show the actual item being offered for sale.

The tuner has been completely serviced, inspected, cleaned, tested and adjusted by TechnoGold’s specialized technical service.
