The Technics SL-M3 is one of the most sophisticated turntables ever produced by Technics during the golden age of Japanese Hi-Fi. Introduced in the mid-1980s, it combines Quartz Locked Direct Drive technology with an advanced Linear Tracking tonearm, delivering exceptional tracking accuracy, extremely low distortion, and outstanding musical performance.

Combined with Technics’ Quartz Locked Direct Drive motor, the result is exceptionally accurate playback with remarkable channel balance and extremely low distortion.

The precision Quartz Locked Direct Drive motor provides outstanding rotational accuracy with Wow & Flutter of only 0.022% WRMS and an impressive 82 dB signal-to-noise ratio, ensuring silent backgrounds, exceptional pitch stability and superb dynamic performance.

The heavy die-cast aluminium platter, precision electronic speed control, adjustable ±6% pitch, Quartz Reset function, electronic repeat mode and fully automatic operation make the SL-M3 both a pleasure to use and one of the most technically advanced turntables of its era. Factory specifications include two playback speeds (33⅓ and 45 RPM), electronic speed selection and automatic lift at the end of the record.
