3-Way, Dual 170mm, Floor-Mounted The Northridge™ E-Series dual 6-inch E80 floorstanding speaker delivers formidable sound, whether used for demanding audio in a stereo system or combined with the bookshelf surround sound of a Northridge E center channel and subwoofer to create a home theater system. The E80 performs like a pro, with technology developed by JBL’s Professional division. Equipped with proven JBL titanium-laminated tweeters and PolyPlas™ motors, the speaker reproduces high notes with extreme clarity. The bass and midrange, effectively boosted by dual 6-inch woofers and aided by the protruding FreeFlow™ port, are perfect, without distortion or unwanted booms. The Elliptical Oblate Spheroidal (EOS™) waveguide ensures that every seat in the house receives the best melodic music and intelligible dialogue, or just to enjoy some rock music. Because the drivers were specially designed to work together in harmony, the unique JBL Straight-Line Signal Path™ (SSP) crossover network divides the signal with minimal processing (and minimal chance of signal degradation). Dual sets of rugged, gold-plated 5-way binding posts allow for dual wiring and amplification. With the high, mid, and low frequencies isolated, the four E80 drivers can reproduce their frequency ranges more efficiently and accurately. The computer-designed, miter-locked cabinet virtually eliminates distortion, and its slim Euro profile won't clutter your room.
