The Technics SH-3433, also known as the “Hi-Fi Eye”, is an exceptionally rare four-channel audio scope manufactured in Japan during the golden age of quadraphonic Hi-Fi. Its beautiful green CRT display provides a spectacular visual representation of audio signals, phase relationships and four-channel sound distribution.

This highly collectible component can display signals from four independent channels: Left Front, Right Front, Left Rear and Right Rear. It can also be used with a conventional two-channel stereo system, making it an outstanding visual centrepiece for any vintage Hi-Fi installation.

The SH-3433 offers several display functions, including 4-Channel AFD, Multipath and Wave Form modes. Individual front and rear channels can be selected, while the front-panel controls allow adjustment of position, focus, brightness, gain and balance.

This particular unit has been carefully inspected, serviced, adjusted and fully tested by our specialised technical department. All controls, selectors, indicator lights and display functions operate correctly. The CRT produces a strong, bright and well-focused green image.

The unit remains in very good overall cosmetic condition considering its age. The brushed-aluminium front panel, original knobs, switches and lettering are well preserved. For buyers in Europe, the United Kingdom, Australia and other countries with 220–240V mains electricity, a suitable external step-down transformer converting 220–240V to approximately 100–110V will be included completely FREE OF CHARGE.

The step-down transformer must always be connected between the wall outlet and the SH-3433. The SH-3433 must be plugged into the transformer’s 100/110V output, never directly into the mains. Please verify the transformer connection and output voltage before switching on the unit.
