Pioneer D-23 Active Electronic Crossover 4-Way Rack JA-R2S Vintage Japan
The Pioneer D-23 is a legendary active electronic crossover designed for high-end multi-amplified audio systems. Built in Japan during Pioneer’s golden era, it delivers exceptional precision, low distortion, and studio-grade reliability.
This unit has been professionally prepared with rack handles, making it fully compatible with the Pioneer JA-R2S rack system. This modification is rare and highly desirable, adding both functional and collector value.
Engineered for 2-way, 3-way, or 4-way configurations, the D-23 allows complete control over frequency distribution, making it ideal for audiophile systems, studio monitoring, and vintage Pioneer Exclusive setups.
The sound quality is clean, transparent, and extremely accurate thanks to its low-noise discrete circuitry, wide bandwidth, and excellent signal-to-noise ratio—performance that still rivals modern professional equipment.
Selectable crossover slopes (6 / 12 / 18 dB per octave) and precise level controls for each band allow fine tuning to perfectly match amplifiers and loudspeakers.
Cosmetically, the unit is in very good vintage condition, with a solid metal chassis and the unmistakable industrial design Pioneer is known for. Functionally, it operates correctly and has been carefully inspected.
