JBL L112 Vintage Speakers Pair Fully Restored + Grilles | TechnoGold
TechnoGold presents this superb pair of JBL L112 vintage loudspeakers, fully restored to like-new condition and working perfectly. Supplied with their front grilles, these classic American speakers combine timeless styling with the powerful, engaging sound that makes vintage JBL so desirable.
Introduced in 1980 and manufactured in the USA, the L112 represents an important chapter in JBL’s classic loudspeaker development. Its three-way bass-reflex design brings together dedicated bass, midrange and high-frequency drivers in beautifully proportioned cabinets.
This pair has undergone a complete restoration by our specialised technical department. The speakers have been carefully checked and tested following restoration to ensure correct operation and excellent musical performance. They are ready to become part of your home audio system.
The L112 design features a 12-inch JBL 128H woofer with a white Aquaplas-coated cone and Symmetrical Field Geometry magnetic system. Its substantial 3-inch voice coil contributes to controlled, authoritative bass reproduction with excellent impact and depth.
Midrange reproduction is handled by the 5-inch JBL LE5-12, complemented by the 1-inch JBL 044 dome tweeter. Together, these drivers deliver expressive vocals, clear instrumental detail and refined high frequencies, creating an enjoyable presentation across a wide range of music.
A distinctive feature of the L112 is its mirror-image driver arrangement, designed to support precise stereo imaging. Front-mounted controls allow independent adjustment of midrange and treble levels, helping you tailor the balance to your room and listening preferences.
Technical specifications include an 8-ohm nominal impedance, sensitivity of 89 dB at 1 watt/1 metre, and crossover frequencies of 1,100 Hz and 3,700 Hz. JBL specified a maximum recommended amplifier power of 300 watts per channel; this figure refers to amplifier matching rather than continuous speaker power handling.
The cabinets feature the classic walnut finish associated with this model, beautifully complementing both vintage and contemporary interiors. Both front grilles are included, allowing you to enjoy either the elegant covered appearance or the unmistakable look of the exposed JBL drivers.
Each cabinet measures approximately 362 mm wide × 622 mm high × 333 mm deep. Original JBL literature lists a shipping weight of approximately 25–25.5 kg per speaker, including packaging. As passive loudspeakers, they require no mains connection or voltage converter and can be used worldwide with a suitable amplifier.
This listing is for the pair of JBL L112 speakers with their front grilles. They will be carefully protected and professionally packed for transport, with particular attention to the cabinets and drivers, drawing on our experience shipping valuable vintage audio equipment internationally.
